My concerns are always addressed. I have TMJ on both sides and I dreaded going to the dentist. I always kept my calendar light for 2-3 days after dental appointment because I would get the worst TMJ headache, neck ache and shoulder tightness. This pain made me nauseous and I basically checked out for a couple of days. I shared this with Dr. Halasz. He promised that they would take all precautionary measures to decrease the chance of TMJ pain. Dr. Halasz has always listened to my concerns. He is so kind and gentle that the vibe in the office is calming and relaxed. My dental hygienist is so kind, easy to talk with and professional, she makes me feel at ease. She is very gentle cleaning my teeth and allows me to take a break if I need one. I appreciate her help more than she knows and I save 2-3 days for living life vs. laying on the couch with a warm cloth over my head, rice bag on my shoulder and a bowl within reach just in case...THANK YOU MAULDIN FAMILY DENTISTRY!! P.S. ALL of your staff is kind, courteous, friendly and professional. I would give a 6 star rating if possible!!

My latest cleaning appointment showed me how modern and up to date Dr. Halasz's practice has become. Cindy spent good quality time with me making a chart of the periodontal condition of every tooth in my mouth. This record is easily shared with my periodontist, and any changes in my periodontal health are quickly evident to Dr. Halasz and Dr. Hamrick. This is stored as a permanent record of my periodontal health. MFD also uses digital radiology and stores quickly retrievable and permanently stored records of all x-rays made of my teeth and surrounding bone. All this in addition to the cutest, most fun, most gentle, most thorough and experienced hygienists employed anywhere. I totally trust my dental health to this fine group of dental professionals!

This was my first visit and it was the most thorough dental exam I've ever had. Dr. Halasz examined every tooth, one by one, looking for cavities, gum disease, cancer, and anything else notable and used a number rating system for each tooth, which his assistant was recording. He was the only dentist I ever had that didn't just take a quick look around with a mirror on a stick and move on to the next patient. His assistant took the time to give me a complete lesson on gingivitis, what they look for and what happens as things get bad. I felt very comfortable and was in good hands at Mauldin Family Dentistry.
